Rational Reality is the culmination of Michael Orr’s half-century pilgrimage through the rocky landscape of Humanity’s beliefs, questing for THE ANSWER.

From a New Age upbringing to traditional Christianity, deep into Catholicism and then away into a more cerebral skim of Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism and the like, Michael increasingly recognized the flaw with formalized belief systems isn’t a matter of dogma or doctrine, but of assumptions. Every formal belief system suffers from the same foundational assumption that sabotages real-world understanding. Rational Reality identifies the problem and resolves it with a paradigm shift that doesn’t just change the game, it moves it to a completely different board.

Professionally, Michael spent more than twenty five years in the corporate world as an instructional designer, trainer and technical writer. Owing to a background in critical theory, his focus has always been on the clear explanation that characterizes his non-fiction writing. As for his fiction, Michael's Starbarians saga is an on-going space opera adventure frolicking in the hearts and souls of its spacefaring characters.

Michael was born and raised in Orange County, California smack in the middle of the 1960s and spent most of his professional years in Denver, Colorado. He has traveled extensively, both within the U.S. and abroad.
